Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Tab A11, a new entry-level tablet positioned as one of the company’s most affordable options for 2025. The device was recently listed on Geekbench and had its pricing details leaked, but now it has been formally introduced through Samsung’s website in the United Arab Emirates.
The Galaxy Tab A11 comes in both Wi-Fi and 4G versions, giving consumers flexibility depending on their connectivity needs. It features an 8.7-inch TFT display with a WXGA+ resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels and supports a 90Hz refresh rate, which provides smoother scrolling and animations compared to standard 60Hz panels. For audio, the tablet is equipped with stereo speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos technology, aiming to improve the overall media experience.
While Samsung has not disclosed the specific chipset model powering the Tab A11, the processor is described as an octa-core platform with speeds of up to 2.2 GHz. This is paired with 4 GB of RAM, and users can choose between 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage. Storage capacity can be further expanded up to 2 TB through a microSD card, offering significant flexibility for those needing additional space for apps, media, and files.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Tab A11 supports dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and USB-C 2.0. The 4G version also includes cellular connectivity, while a traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack is available for users who prefer wired audio.
For photography and video calls, the tablet is fitted with a 5 MP front-facing camera and an 8 MP rear camera. However, the rear camera does not include a flash, limiting its use in low-light conditions. The device is powered by a 5,100 mAh battery, though Samsung has not provided details regarding its charging speed.
The tablet runs Android with Samsung’s One UI interface, providing access to the company’s software features and ecosystem. Physically, the Galaxy Tab A11 measures 211.0 x 124.7 x 8.0 mm and weighs 337 grams, making it a compact and lightweight option for daily use, especially for reading, streaming, and casual browsing.
Samsung has yet to confirm the official pricing or global availability of the Galaxy Tab A11. Given its specifications and positioning, the tablet is expected to appeal to consumers looking for an affordable, portable device with a decent display, modern connectivity, and basic performance capabilities.
